Assignments done:

Assignment no.1 was an individual assignment where we had to prepare a project proposal for procurement arrangements to a client. We had to write a proposal report outlining the various procurement, tendering and contract arrangements to the client who is unfamiliar with the construction industry. Then, finally we need to make a final recommendation based on reasoned argument on the best approach for his project.

Assignment 2 was a test conducted in class to test our knowledge of the chapters covered during the first half of the semester.

Reflection:

This module has helped me to define the qualifications (academic and professional) required of a Quantity Surveyor, its professional Institution and Board. It has given me a clearer perception about the duties of a Quantity Surveyor. I can now prepare progress payments, variation orders, final accounts on completion of the contract works and contract administration related to Prime Cost ans Provisional Sum. This will be very helpful during my internship which is next semester.
